The Hotel Donau-Ries
Sustainability is the basic idea behind our philosophy and has been part of everyday life at the Hotel DonauRies for more than 12 years. The traditional construction method with thick brick walls, breathable clay plaster, ecological hemp insulation and wood chip heating ensure a noticeably better indoor climate.
In our restaurant and for the breakfast buffet we mainly serve organic products from the region.
The sustainable hotel in Mertingen
The ecological energy supply with its own photovoltaic system, solar hot water generation and wood chip heating protect the environment. The green areas around the hotel are an ecological gem and are maintained in an insect-friendly manner.
The situation
This hotel is located not far from the B2 main road and a 3-minute walk from Mertingen train station. Look forward to rooms with wooden furniture, real parquet flooring and free internet access (WLAN).

The term boarding house refers to an accommodation establishment that rents out rooms or flats with hotel-like services, usually in an urban environment. The term "temporary home" is also used in German-speaking countries. At Hotel Donau-Ries, however, we have incorporated elements of a business hotel into our concept and offer a homemade breakfast every morning.
